Why should I make a coating onto cheap foams? Pre-coated foam trim can be a surprisingly durable. However is more expensive, than simple uncoated EPS, but it offers considerable cost savings over an uncoated foam part due to the decrease of skilled labor needed on the job site. Outdoor durability is very important for elevation profiles. |
I can't imagine, how does it work. Precut EPS or XPS foam elements are driven by a motor through a hopper tank. Watch this video: |
Who can use this machine? The foam is pushed through a "mud" container. The solution requies very little touch up by hand. It's very easy to use this foam coating equipment without any special skills. |
What's the working speed of the machine? You can calculate about 5 meters of moulding per minute. |
How can I make profiles for my precut foam? Please remember that you need a cnc router to cut negative shapes (forms) for concrete container. |
How much cement do we need? From one 25 kg bag of DecorPlus DCP you can coat about 11 square meters of foam material (with 2 mm coating thickness). |
How to mix the polimer-cement? We are using exactly 1 liter of water per 5 kg of DecorPlus DCP powder. It's important to use the mixture quickly after mixing - maximum about 5 minutes because it gets bubbles. |
There are bubbles in the mix, why? You will get less bubbles when you are using templates made of acrylic cut with angle router bit (please look at attached photo). Also the more mass in the container better result - bigger pressure. You will get absolutely no bubbles when you use optional pneumatic vibrator (look at the second photo). |
What's the difference between DCS and DCP? DCP is a coating mass for coating machine, |
Can I add some slurry or groat to the DecorPlus mix? You can't mix it with cement - it doesn't make sense because all this masses contains cements inside and are optimized for specific application. |
Where can I get precut foam? We recommend ThermoCut Pro hot wire foam cutters to cut EPS and XPS cornices. For mass production choose the more productive multiwire ThermoCut Pro MW15 machine. |
