DIN 824 describes a method of folding standard large format sheets to A4 format for filing. With this folding method it's possible to leave a 20 mm wide margin for filing holes, so the page can be unfolded (and folded again) without being removed from the file. The label field at the bottom-left corner of technical drawings ends up in correct orientation on top of the folded page in the file.
It's possible to fold drawings with standard formats A3 - 2A0 according to DIN 824 standards with Neofold 920/HS and 1250/HS folding machines. See table below.
